Just last week My PIC (Partner in crime) & POTRC (Partner on the red carpet) Megan O’Brien and I hit the red carpet for the premiere of Katie Holmes’ newest flick, Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark. We won’t talk about the PIC times that Megan and I have shared, although they have been FUN! Rather, let’s focus on the red carpet!
Last night at the Grand Palais in Paris, Karl Lagerfeld presented Chanel’s Couture Collection for Fall 2011, and what a show it was! The setting was a modern, sci-fi-esque replica of the Place Vendome, an interesting and effective backdrop for the romantic, vintage feel of the clothes.
Most of the time it is really nice to be a Beauty/Fashion/Celebrity blogger, and then other times it is great! Like Saturday night when Dove Hair Care invited me to join them for a pre-reception, after-party, and screening of Terri-starring John C. Reilly-at the LA Film Fest. I took my hubby and we arrived at LA Live for the VIP cocktail hour in which I sampled the new Dove Nourishing Oil Care Conditioner.
This past Friday I caught up with MTV reality star and fashionista Whitney Port as she hosted the John Frieda Destination: Style Salon Tour in Hollywood.
Women who attended the tour were able to meet with a top John Frieda stylist and get hair prescription for their individual beauty needs. The tour will be hitting select cities across the US, including Seattle (June 29-30), Chicago (July 9-10), Minneapolis (July 15-16), and Atlanta (July 22-23). For more info, go to JohnFrieda.com
