Many are unaware of how the Los Angeles County Animal Shelters (and other shelters across North America as well as several veterinary offices) dispose of euthanized animals. They are picked up by a waste disposal service and are hauled off to a rendering plant where their remains are processed into 4D meat, soap, cosmetics, fertilizers, lubricants, pharmaceuticals, gelatin, polish, agricultural feed, as well as other products. Several studies have raised questions as to the safety of these plants and the rendering process itself, as many of the by products get re-introduced into the human & animal food chain via dairy cows and livestock, as well as other ways.
