Every year the Emmys roll around, NBC Universal holds their annual fete, the night before the big event, at Spago in Beverly Hills. And the stars were shining bright at this posh party. As I entered the soiree, I noticed the flash bulbs going off. But for whom? Comedy power couple Amy Poehler and Will Arnett. Soon after, part of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast showed up. Kyle Richards & Mauricio Umansky, and Lisa & Ken Vanderpump (sans Giggy, can you believe it?) A young female admirer stopped Ken, not for him, but for his wife! She kept telling Lisa how beautiful she was and requested a pic with the reality star. And just like a good housewife, Lisa obliged. Tom Colicchio arrived with his female companion, who escorted him around the bash.

I didn’t see his Top Chef hosting partner, Padma Lakshmi, until later in the evening. But she was undoubtedly a stunner. Wearing tight black leather pants, a backless shirt, and a long braid, she held the glances of many men in the room. Chuck star Zachary Levi looked uber handsome, and chatted with a group of friends by the bar. House’s Hugh Laurie seamlessly fit into the Hollywood crowd, pretty much remaining under the radar all night. Kathy Griffin entertained a group of people in a banquette, and fellow funny women Whitney Cummings had an intense-looking conversation with a male, studio suit type towards the end of the night. Looking forward to her new show, Whitney, premiering this week. Will you watch it?
