Last night, Owen Wilson, Michael Sheen, Mimi Kennedy, and Kurt Fuller gathered at The Academy Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills for the AFI screening of the new Woody Allen film in which they all star in-Midnight in Paris. And what a great film it is. It also stars Rachel McAdams, Kathy Bates, Adrien Brody, Marion Cottilard, and Carla Bruni for a well-rounded, fantastic cast. All I can say is, go see this film and treat yourself to a glass of bordeaux and an eclair afterward!
As you may know, Michael Sheen and Rachel McAdams met on this set and their relationship soon developed into romance. In fact, co-star Kennedy let me in on an observation that a well-known actress gave Rachel McAdams about Rachel’s choice in men. This actress, who shall go unnamed, told McAdams that she was “too picky.” Maybe so, but if you can, why not? And, Mimi continued, “Michael is a man that even the pickiest could be happy with!” Seems to be working for those 2!
Sheen himself said to me that he would be “forever grateful” for the this experience and meeting Rachel. He also spoke about another important lady in his life-his daughter Lilly with ex Kate Beckinsale. Michael smiled and revealed, “She is a very creative girl, so she always come up with something very exciting and interesting for me (for Father’s Day), so I will look forward to what she has made for me.”
Also on hand for this French-loving event was Top Chef alum and star of Marcel’s Quantum Kitchen–Marcel Vigneron. While eagerly anticipating the opening of his new restaurant The Sherbourne in LA, he shared his favorite French food and how to re-create a romantic French meal at home. A bientot!
