Actor Leslie Jordan literally had me rolling on Tuesday night at the World Premiere of The Help in Beverly Hills. The film also stars Hollywood “It” Girl-Emma Stone-as well as Bryce Dallas Howard, Viola Davis, Octavia Spencer, Mary Steenburgen, and Jessica Chastain, and others.
Jordan plays Mr. Blackly in the drama, set in 1960’s Mississippi. And, on the red carpet, he was beyond hilarious.
We chatted about topics ranging from fashion to why being on the set of The Help was like “summer camp.” Hint-it involves nudity. But my favorite quote said by Leslie was about why he doesn’t need a stylist: “I’m gay…I fell out of my mother’s womb and into her high heels!” Genius!
The Help is rated PG-13 and opens in U.S. Theaters on August 10, 2011.
