Johnny Depp has teamed up with director David Koepp once again for the upcoming film Mortdecai, set to hit theaters in January of next year.
The recently released promotional poster leaves no question as to the temperament of the film; it’s shaping up to be a silly ensemble with Depp, Gwyneth Paltrow, Olivia Munn, and Ewan McGregor sporting identical mustaches against various colored backdrops. Other co-stars (though lacking the prestigious spot amongst the other mustached posters) include Paul Bettany, Aubrey Plaza, Jeff Goldblum, and Michael Gambon.
The film stars Depp as the titular character Mortdecai, McGregor “investigating Mortdecai,” Munn “seducing Mortdecai,” and Paltrow “married to Mortdecai.” Unfortunately we have another three months (January 23, 2015 release date) for the promotional tension to build until we see what this all-star cast has in store.
