James Franco was at Sundance this past weekend promoting his new porn documentary called Kink. Shocked? I didn’t think so. So, he and Stella Artois hosted a dinner for the cast during the festival. He was one of the last to arrive, but he was in a very jovial mood, chatting with other cast members and discussing the controversial nature of the film.
And at the Touchy Feely junket, actors Allison Janney, Rosemarie DeWitt, Ron Livingston, Ellen Page and director Lynn Shelton were all in great spirits reflecting on their time together making the film. Janney commented that it was “one of the best films that she has worked on.” Kill Your Darlings cast members Daniel Radcliffe, Michael C. Hall, Ben Foster and Dane DeHaan took refuge from the cold at the Stella Artois Cutting Room discussing their film which tells the story of New York poet Allen Ginsberg. During the session Radcliffe commented on the controversial nature of the film shrugging off the controversy of the film’s explicit love scenes.
Unfortunately, the junket for Paul Rudd’s highly touted movie, Prince Avalanche, never came to fruition at the Stella Studio because Rudd is such a fashionista. It had to be cancelled because he insisted on going back to his hotel to change his shirt! I guess he takes his style quite seriously.
Meanwhile, at the Friday night cocktail party, Noah Huntley (Snow White and the Huntsman) toasted to Annie Leibovitz, who shot the new Stella Artois “Timeless Beauty” advertising campaign. He was overheard earlier sharing his excitement of being able to see the photos from the campaign for the first time at Sundance. At one point Huntley, ever the host, was seen jumping behind the bar, playing bartender and serving perfectly poured chalices of Stella Artois beer to attending guests. I have a feeling that he has done that before!
