This Friday will mark a special day in the life of Bollywood star Mallika Sherawat as she will become the first Indian actress to receive a council presentation from Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa making her an honorary citizen of Los Angeles and also a resolution for her outstanding career and her involvement in charity. This ceremony will take place on the eve of Indian Independence Day and many celebrity attendees are expected to be present including composer great Yanni, CAA powerhouse agent Emanuel Nunez, Donovan Leitch, WME agent Alexis Garcia, producer Govind Menon, record producer Ric Wake, Bob Dylan’s son Jesse, and several other notables. Why LA you say? Because she has been living here in the city of Angels since she wrapped her last flick HISSS, she has already received the Diversity Award in Hollywood, was the first Asian star to be invited to the Twitter headquarters, and is now looked upon as the next hot thing. She just attended her first rock concert (Ozzy Osbourne no less) and even walked the Red Carpet at the LA premiere of Inglourious Basterds in this risque number. A Hollywood star in the making!
