I cannot believe it will be 2010 in less than 24 hours! It seems like only yesterday we were turning the bend into 2009 and Madonna and Guy Ritchie were trying to iron out a divorce settlement. Oh how time flies! And as you know, New Year’s Resolution-whether they are kept or not-are often on the mind of some of us as we take that leap into the next year or decade for that matter. However, many celebrities chose not to have this promise to themselves for 2010, mostly because they are pretty sure they wouldn’t be able to keep them. Here is what some of them said to me about having a New Year’s Resolution:
Courtney Cox (Cougar Town)-Not yet. But I will have one. I always have one and I always forget it and don’t do it but I make it!”
Dana Delany (Desperate Housewives)-“I tend not to do that. I try to do one everyday. Once I feel like I can’t do something, it makes me want to do it more!
Carmen Electra-“It’s always the same and I always break it. It is to drink more water. I drink a lot of Coca-cola!”
Ruben Santiago-Hudson (Castle)-“I don’t make resolutions. I just live my life right. They (resolutions) are promises I can’t keep if I share them with everybody so I just keep trying to do the right things.”
Tim Daly (Private Practice)-“No. I can never think of them. Then I think of one and I can never keep them and then I feel guilty. Then I am worse off than before I started so I am just not going to make any.”
Busy Phillips (He’s Just Not That Into You)-“I don’t have one yet. I never have good ones. It is always like lose weight, be nicer to my husband. It’s going to be one of those.”
Debi Mazar (Entourage)-“I don’t do them usually because I don’t stick to them!”
Thomas Jane (Hung)-“I want to try to wear shoes.” (He wasn’t wearing any at the Save Darfur event!)
Ana Maria Perez De Tagle (Hannah Montana)-“I hope that I am not that much of a procrastinator like I am now!”
Gilles Marini (Brothers & Sisters)-“Keep my family together. I am here to stay!”
Celebrity jewelry designer Pascal Mouawad-“2010 will be a better year for me. I am looking forward to expanding all of my collections.”
David Arquette-“Be the best person you can be.”
Carolyn Hennesey (Cougar Town)-“I am going to learn how to text. But not sext, as sexting is trashy! Keep it in the bedroom!”
Tara Reid-“I am going to give up boys! I am only going to go for men!”
Shanna Moakler-“Take up the piano.”
Patricia Arquette (Medium)-“I resolve to get more sleep!”
Monet Mazur (NCIS:Los Angeles)-“Start being on time and stop always rushing.”
Samantha Harris (Host of Dancing With The Stars)-“You asking me means I need to start thinking of my resolution for 2010!”
Franc. Reyes (Director of The Ministers)-“That 2010 is going to be nothing like 2009!”
And my favorite:
Ziggy Marley-“LOVE! Always!”
* If you are going to be out and about cocktailing tonight, please use either a taxi or public transportation. DUI’s are so not in for 2010!
