Shooting the still shots of all of the celebrities that came into Haven was Pulitzer Prize winning photographer Brian Smith, who also included moi in the book of celebrity shots to be presented to President Barack Obama! The book’s message to the President is to encouage him to create a new cabinet position, Secretary of the Arts. I am extremely excited and honored to be included in a project that means so much to me and is so important for our country. I certainly wouldn’t have a job if the arts weren’t such a huge influence and an integral part of our culture. So a big shout out to Brian and his team! Thank you! xx
As I was going in to shoot for Brian, I stopped into the Warren-Tricomi salon to get my hair styled by the legendary Ed Tricomi. What I didn’t know was that Ed had other plans for me-a haircut! That’s right-he just grabbed his shears and worked his magic and in about 15 minutes, I came out looking like a new woman! It is crazy what an amazing a haircut can do for a woman-it’s all of a sudden switching your body for Heidi Klum’s! Supermodel! Thank you Ed and Warren-Tricomi!
Some notables interviews of the day were Frances Fisher (“Titanic”), Anna-Lynne McCord(“90210”), and Harry Hamlin (“Dancing with the Stars”). Frances was absolutely loving her new Foster-Grant Sunglasses and even signed a pair to be auctioned off for charity. Anna-Lynne brought alond her sister, Rachel who both were loving accessory designer Charlie Lapson’s wears. No doubt he was getting them ready for the Red Carpet with all of his bling. She also made her way upstairs where she enjoyed hearing about products from OPI and American Laser Centers. Harry Hamlin gushed to me couldn’t be more excited to see his stunning wife, Lisa Rinna, as she assumes her position as one of the hosts of the Red Carpet come Oscar Sunday.
Oh, let’s not forget my friends at Lovely Lashes who saw me, grabbed me, and put me in their chair. Then voila!, 15 minutes later I had the lovliest eyelashes that you have ever seen. See-being glamourous takes some work. Although, it does help if you have the glam squad involved!
Robin Bronk, Executive Director of the Creative Coalition, was absolutely ecstatic about the fact that she had so much celebrity support for her group’s PSA. She also was very thankful to Hachette Filipacchi Media for partnering with her and producing the Haven space. This is also coming about a month after the TCC’s blowout Inauguration Bash in D.C. You are doing something right, Robin!
