Just this past Saturday night, I rocked out at the Erasure Total Pop! concert at the Hollywood Palladium. And it brought back a lot of high school memories! Driving around and listening to “Chains of Love,” “Oh L’Amour,” and “A Little Respect” on full blast, nearly driving everyone within earshot crazy! And the concert was every bit as entertaining as all of those memories. Lead singer Andy Bell started his performance in a red sequined jacket and galea on his head, and then throughout the night, he changed into a couple of tight black sleeveless tops, one was even corseted in the back. You know how important costumes are! Vince Clarke remained at the back of the stage behind the synthesizer for most of the night, except when he played guitar on a couple of tracks like “Sometimes” and “Alien.” The show was full of energy and catchy tunes, and the group played a good number of oldies, just like I wanted them to. All in all, good show boys!
