EMMYS 2010 BEST/WORST DRESSED LIST

Without further a due, here are my top 5 best and top 5 worst dressed from the 2010 Emmys:

THE BEST:

Lea Michele in Oscar de la Renta image: bauer griffin

I dig the flamenco feel of this navy blue Oscar de la Renta gown. Even though Lea Michele is a small girl, she can carry the weight of the dress without looking overwhelmed. And I LOVE navy!

Sofia Vergara in Carolina Herrera image: bauer griffin

It doesn’t look like much now, but when I saw this dress catch the light, 2 words came to mind: golden glow. Sofia Vergara looked amazing in this Carolina Herrera strapless.

Heidi Klum in Marchesa image: bauer griffin

I love the overall chic look that Heidi Klum has-hair pulled back, exquisite necklace and rocking Marchesa mini dress.

Julie Benz in one-shouldered white gown image:michael buckner/getty

So clean and fresh-Julie Benz looks sexy without being slutty in this one-shouldered dress with hip cut out. She didn’t overdo the hair or makeup which still keeps her look classy.

Kyra Sedgewick in Monique Llulier image: frazier harrison/getty

Kyra Sedgewick has probably the best skin I have ever seen in Hollywood. She literally radiates, and I love that she complemented her gorgeous porcelain skin with this deep eggplant colored Monique Llulier number. Let’s not forget that long, loose hair-so romantic. She really stood out on the Red Carpet.

And sadly, the WORST:

January Jones image: photo agency

Unfortunately, January Jones stood out on the Red Carpet as well, but not for the right reasons. I think she was going for avant-garde in this blue Versace creation, but it didn’t quite work. Her hair looks untamed and she seemed really uncomfortable.

Mindy Kaling image: frazier harrison/getty

This bums me out because Mindy Kaling has such an incredible sense of humor and is so cute. But her hair is far too severe. And the dress looks too poufy & uneven & does nothing but make her look dumpy.

Christina Hendricks in Zac Posen image: photo agency

And speaking of looking dumpy, I hate to say this, but that is exactly how the voluptuous Christina Hendricks looked in this lilac colored Zac Posen gown. It didn’t flatter her curvaceous body and the sleeves made her look more heavy and added bulk. She should wear some of the gorgeous vintage inspired dresses that have a 1960’s look.

Rita Wilson in Prada image: photo agency

I don’t even know why Rita Wilson would try to match her chandelier encrusted Prada mini dress with her heels, but she did. I am pretty sure the photo speaks for itself.

Maria Menounos in Ralph and Russo image: photo agency

Maria Menounos is an example of a beautiful girl who sometimes makes not the best choices on the Red Carpet (Golden Globes anyone?) and this tacky number is no exception. I wish she would channel some of her casual, cool, laid back everyday style onto the Red Carpet and not try to wear things that do not suit her.

And that’s it folks. What were your picks?
