ELLEN DEGENERES TO LAUNCH E.D. GIFT COLLECTION

Ellen DeGeneres: is there anything she can’t do? Launching for the holidays, DeGeneres’ is creating a lifestyle brand, E.D., and it begins with a gift-type capsule collection.

Although everyone loves gifts, DeGeneres has much bigger plans for E.D. than just stopping there. Derived from a nickname of Portia de Rossi for DeGeneres, E.D., pronounced Ed, the brand will make everything from clothing and bedding, to pet toys and candles.

Ellen’s plans are so great for E.D., so who better to enlist the help of than J. Christopher Burch of Burch Creative Capital. The partners have a wide array of experience under their belt, and have created “an all-star team.”

Look out for the launch of E.D. in late October and early November both online and through brick-and-mortar partners. If you’re concerned about where the price points may land for the items, fear not, DeGeneres told WWD, “[her] goal is that people can have a beautiful house, a really comfortable house, without only being able to afford [very expensive] things.”

On that note, we’re definitely excited, and certainly have no doubts that E.D. will be successful. What do you think?
