Yesterday, I braved the June gloom that has fallen over the City of Angels (I know-we are spoiled!) and headed to the rooftop pool deck of the Thompson Hotel for the D’Amore Swim Fashion Show. The trendy, rock n’ roll inspired swimwear line designed by DJ Caroline D’Amore was fun and perfect for that “I am still fashionable even though I have a swimsuit on” look. Think grommet embellished one-pieces, tribal print bikinis, black lace and gold mixed together, stripes, and even checkers! The line is available at Fred Segal, Milk, and Dash stores nationwide.
Caroline, while backstage getting ready for her show, mentioned to me that she designed her line for the woman who is “disappointed in her swimwear collection compared to her closet….Now, she can embrace her style and bring it to the beach.” I like that!
The presentation also featured the Street Drum Corps (D’Amore boyfriend’s drum band), a custom Havaianas flip flop bar, and even a synchronized swimming group!
Both super stylist Jessica Paster (who was seated next to me before she had to rush off to style Matt Damon and Elle Fanning for the Super 8 premiere last night) and I really enjoyed the synchronized swimmers. It’s not everyday you get that in a fashion show!
Also interesting was Jenna Jameson, decked in Miu Miu, who let me in on her style staples for the summer-heels & platforms, tight jeans, jet blue leggings, and long dresses. And she said she would be doing “a few fashion things” in the future, like possibly designing her own line. Would you wear a Jenna Jameson original?

of course I will be wearing a Jenna fashion line! I already buy one t-shirt from each of her 3 House of Jameson/Hello Jenna t-shirt lines so far, and I am known as her best returning customer on her Ebay site, House Of Jameson, where I’ve bought more than 10 pieces worn by Jenna at various events and now wear them proudly!!!! Jenna is the fashion icon of the modern hardcore woman!
