With a new and fresh palette, Claudia Li’s Spring/Summer 2017 Ready-to-Wear collection captures femininity and freedom through touches of metallic and orchid prints. In comparison to last spring’s collection, Li has incorporated more color and texture while still maintaining her signature modern and light silhouette.
Her color palette included burnt orange and red, along with her familiar light blue and white. The combinations of the colors allow for depth and transition from dusk to dawn in the collection. A few items were especially unique and striking like a gold pant and jacket with acrylic orchid detail.
Most of the collection was made out of the same familiar fabric that Li has used in the past including, cotton and denim which, contribute to Li’s overall structured, clean and draped looks.
Li attributes her inspiration to the blurring of the line between the sexes. Evidence of her inspiration is visible in her combination of boxy masculine silhouettes with feminine soft silhouettes, as well as, her use of male models in the show.
Hair was tousled, natural and carefree, while make-up was glowing and minimalistic with touches of metallic detail. What do you think about Claudia Li’s latest collection? Comment below!
