In complete contrast of last year’s brightly colored, Mexican inspired collection, Christian Siriano used a cool blue color palette for his 2015 Spring/Summer Ready-to-Wear collection. Intrigued by light and texture, Siriano found his inspiration for this season’s collection in the sculptures of both Tara Donovan and Sergio Redegalli.
Shades of white, ice blue, glass green, and navy graced the runway in sleek, clean-cut separates and elegant eveningwear. Siriano’s impeccable attention to detail dominated in the prominent use of textured, laser cut, and transparent fabrics. Layered organza, feathers, and flowing lines portrayed effortless femininity, with pieces tailored for the modern woman in both the workplace and on the red carpet.
Hair and makeup mirrored the sleek minimalist look Siriano aimed for in his collection. Barely there face makeup with a pop of a light, sparkly green eyeliner was paired with straight, yet kinked, hair, side parted and seated on the left shoulder.
Coco Rocha, Jada Pinkett Smith, Uzo Aduba, Jackie Cruz, Brad Walsh, Mena Suvari, Amy Schumer, Lindsey Vonn, Willow Shields, Leigh Lezark, Nicole Laliberte, Sofia Richie, and Orly Shani were all in attendance. What do you think of Christian’s collection?
