Cote D'Azur
One of my favorite places in the world, Cannes, was great fun as I experienced the sun, sea, and celebrity as well. I started the trip laying on the Cote D’Azur and ran into none other than Cannes native and runner up on “Dancing With the Stars” Gilles Marini. He was playing on the beach with his adorable son and some friends. He has been recovering in Cannes for the last month since his shoulder surgery to repair the damage he did while on “DWTS” and even pulled down his shirt and revealed the scar to me. I have to get to the bottom of these things! It is amazing how he was able to go as far as he did in the competition while sustaining such serious injuries. Not only is he sexy but also tough! He relayed to me how excited he was go to back to L.A. to tape “Brothers and Sisters.” He is also going into production for a film with The Rock where he will be playing a villain and will be buffing up for that. Looking forward to seeing more Gilles!
Cannes is such a rich and famous playground, which is what makes it so celebrity friendly and yachts are very commonplace. In fact, I was treated to a gourmet dinner with friends on the Latica at sunset as we sipped Ott Rose, perfect for the balmy evening.

Definitely go for drinks at the Carlton Beach Club, where glamour meets the beach. The Carlton is a fabulous place to stay, as well as the Majestic Barriere. One of the premiere discos, Palais will open for the season on July 9th, and they have an impressive roster of guest DJ’s including Roger Sanchez and David Guetta, just to name a few. I was there last summer and heard Erick Morillo spin which ignited the crowd. Highly recommend Palais!
Only a short boat ride away is the expensive resort town of St. Tropez, full of beautiful beaches and fun party spots. You can dock your yacht there and head up to Nikki Beach for daytime bottle service and V.I.P. Room for all night dancing. Just be sure you grab a delicious, homemade baguette from one of the local bakeries to soak up all of those cocktails!
