Arguably, the Golden Globes is the most fun night in Hollywood because there is so much champagne consumed all throughout the awards show as well as at the after-parties. So everybody is somewhere between heavily buzzed and totally hammered by 10PM. What is not to love?

NBC Universal/E! had a big night last night, as two of their films Les Miserables and Zero Dark Thirty won Golden Globes for several of the actors: Best Actress in a Drama for Jessica Chastain, Best Supporting Actress in a Musical or Comedy for Anne Hathaway, and Best Actor in a Musical or Comedy for Hugh Jackman. So as you would expect, when the cast of Les Mis rolled up to the red carpet, it was a flashbulb frenzy! Hugh posed with his winning gold and Sacha Baron Cohen’s wife Isla Fisher applied on last swipe of lip gloss before hitting the carpet, while Amanda Seyfried giggled and hopped around like a giddy school girl!

But before all of this, Hathaway greeted fellow nominee Helen Hunt in the lobby of the Beverly Hilton while clutching her newest baby, the Golden Globe! And I think Jennifer Lopez and Casper Smart hold the record for dashing out of the ballroom the fastest! Soon after, Jon Bon Jovi and wife Dorothea followed. Jason Lewis, aka the hot guy in Sex and the City before Gilles Marini, got swamped with requests for photos from excited fans, mostly women of course. I swear Richard Gere looked as handsome as ever as he sauntered through the hotel with wife Carrie in tow.

Back at the party, Chastain seemed to be having the time of her life, hanging out there most of the night and dancing up a storm as MC Lyte spun fun party tracks. Sexy Scot Ewan McGregor remained in the same corner both in the front of the ballroom as The Saturdays performed live to the enjoyment of the screaming crowd. 50 Cent, looking dapper in a suit, walked in posse in tow, while Golden Globes hosts and nominees Amy Poehler and Tina Fey rounded up Seth Meyers, Jimmy Fallon and producer Lorne Michaels for an old-school SNL picture. Cutie patootie Chelsea Lately guest host Ross Matthews stopped me in the middle of the party and said, “You are wearing black and white just like Julianne Moore.” She is definitely a style inspiration! The president of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association cruised through the soiree with not one, not two, but three bodyguards! John Krasinski kept Emily Blunt warm on this beyond chilly night in LA by giving her his jacket and rubbing her shoulders, while director Kathryn Bigelow wasn’t very fond of the chill while stepping outside and uttering a very colorful word to describe it. And I agreed! Still, even with the cold, Golden Globes night is one of the best nights in Hollywood!
