Late fashion designer and animal lover, Alexander McQueen, had a soft spot in his heart for his 3 English bull terriers-Juice, Minter, and Callum. And even in death, McQueen has made sure that his beloved pooches would always be well taken care of.
His will revealed that he left around $82,000 for the lifetime care of the dogs. That’s a lot of kibble & kongs! He even left $164,000 to 2 animal charities-the Battersea Dogs and Cats Home and Blue Cross Animal Welfare Charity. He also willed $82,000 to each of his 2 person house staff, his nieces and nephews, and his godson. And $410,000 to each of his 3 sisters and 2 brothers.
The remaining portion of his over $25 million estate went to the Sarabande charity “with the suggestion that some money be used for scholarships at London’s Central St. Martin’s College of Art and Design,” according to the AP. Alexander was one of the famous graduates of the design school and had the forethought to help other aspiring fashion designers reach their dreams.
McQueen committed suicide in February 2010. A beautiful soul lost too soon.
