Senators Barbara Boxer (D-CA) and David Vitter (R-LA) are asking their fellow US Senators to co-sign a letter that would help to protect animal welfare laws in our country. The laws directly affected by this include: Animal Welfare Act, The Animal Fighting Prohibition Act, The Humane Methods of Slaughter Act, and The Horse Protection Act. The letter will be submitted to the Senate Agriculture Appropriations Subcommittee for protection consideration.
