Kate Beckinsale, as U.S. Marshal Carrie Stetko in the bitter Antarctic cold, frantically reaching for a gun
Antarctica. Cold. White. Snow. Ice. Murder! The new Warner Bros. Pictures in association with Dark Castle Entertainment action thriller film, Whiteout, starring Kate Beckinsale, Gabriel Macht, Columbus Short, and Tom Skerritt is sure to scare the cold right out of you. The story takes place on Earth’s largest isolated land mass Antarctica where the temperature can reach -120 degrees and Beckinsale’s character, U. S. Marshal Carrie Stetko coincidentally the only law enforcement official in the area, has been sent there to investigate the continent’s first homicide. While there, she discovers things are not all that they seem-especially under the layers and layers of ice. Unfortunately for Stetko, she is in a race against time as she must find the killer before he finds her. Oh yeah, and the unforgiving winter is soon approaching which means 6 months of total darkness! Kind of complicates things, doesn’t it? Star Kate Beckinsale admits the shoot in Northern Manitoba was, “Intense. We were worried that we were going to die of hypothermia at any second!” Sounds brutal!
