PALIHOUSE=PARTYHOUSE

Friday, March 6, 2009

I don’t know how many of you have been to Palihouse in West Hollywood, but if you haven’t, you absolutely should. That is where I was last night night for the birthday party of Stardust Pictures Executive and Producer, Justin Levine. Palihouse is a great place to host a birthday party because it has this really chilled out vibe, there are great nooks where groups of people can congregate, and the food and drink are consistently very good. It is also the place that many celebs go to be “low key.”

Upon arrival, I was greeted not only by Justin, but also by actors Jaime Kennedy and Jennifer Love Hewitt who were sharing a loveseat-no pun intended! 馃槢 Jaime has been working on Jennifer’s show, “The Ghost Whisperer,” and he told me, during Oscars week when I interviewed him, that he was enjoying working on the show and that Jen was a great girl and really sweet. It is nice to see people get along in Hollywood.

As the night wore on, more vino was poured, heavy appetizers were consumed (compliments of Mr. Levine) and many guests started to appear, proving that Mr. Levine has some really great friends that wanted to show up for him. Being that Justin is the quintessential ladies man, I believe that he managed to pose for a photo with each and every lady at the bash-myself included 馃檪 Speaking of lovely ladies, Justin took me over for a chat with Vivica A. Fox and she and I reminisced about Sundance a few years back when I interviewed her for Premiere. She even made it a point to stop in even though she had a 6 AM flight this morning. She was really excited about the party she will be hosting for “Shark City,” a Stardust Pictures project, on March 19th. Also in attendance at the shindig was A-List Communications LLC President David Manning, so you know the party was good.

As I was making my exit, I met up with championship winning ex-basketball player and actor, John Salley, who is very deft and handing out compliments to the ladies. Not only did he tell me that I was beautiful, but he also complimented me on my stilettos. You have got to love a man who has an appreciation for and knows good shoes when he sees them. Take note boys! Thank you, Justin, for a great night and happy, happy birthday!
