Bastille Day Fireworks
On this day in 1789, forces stormed the French Bastille fortress prison which led to the French Revolution and the eventual formation of the modern nation of France. Festivities and the parade for this national holiday are held on the Champs-Elysees in Paris and the President (Sarkozy) holds a soiree in the garden of the Palais de l’Elysee. Célébrer et de boire de rose pour moi!
