With a name like Eleanor Coppola, you would think it would be quite easy to get a film made, right? I mean, after all, she is Francis Ford’s wife, mother to Sofia, and aunt to Nicholas Cage, as well as being a seasoned documentary director and cinematographer in her own right. But actually it was quite the opposite. After fighting to get her first feature-length film, Paris Can Wait starring Diane Lane and Alec Baldwin, made, she experienced the struggle first-hand.
And at the movie’s premiere, guests sipped her family vineyard-Coppola wines, sampled cheeses from the Wheel House, and enjoyed the decidedly French vibe.
