From the Kia Supper Suite to the movie premieres, Sundance 2017 was full of fun celebrity moments. And I was able to be right in the middle of all of the madness. Here is what went down.
Over at the KIA Supper Suite, Elle Fanning mused that she always skis at the festival, ever since she attended her first Sundance when she was nine. And during TCC’s Spotlight Awards, Connie Britton shared with guests sipping delish Johndrow Vineyards wine, Blue Moon beer, Topo Chico sparkling water, and Dobel Tequila Black Diamond Margaritas, the time that she visited and walked Capitol Hill all day on behalf of The Creative Coalition while wearing albeit beautiful, super-uncomfortable Christian Louboutin heels. I feel her pain!
And Game of Thrones star Peter Dinklage enjoyed being shuttled around town in the 2017 KIA Sorento. And big news for the film Brigsby Bear: it was sold to Sony Pictures Classics for $5 million at the KIA Supper Suite. Congrats!
Meanwhile, Keanu Reeves and Parker Posey attended ChefDance presented by GiftedTaste and enjoyed a four-course meal designed by Chef Brian Malarkey.
Jon Hamm and Geena Davis hydrating with water at the PepsiCo Creators League Studio. And Turner held at private party featuring The Counting Crows at The Montage Deer Valley. What a great concert that was! Also performing at The Montage were country cross-over star Ashley Gearing and classic rock band Troubadour 77.
And Salma Hayek let us in on what she would be doing if she wasn’t an actress, while at The IMDb Studio. “I would have loved to be an astronaut but I probably be working at some flower shop or married in Coatzacoalcos with ten kids, I don’t know.” she said.
Alison Brie and Dave Franco got all GIPHY with it at The Hollywood Reporter Lounge, creating their own fun GIF’s with one another.
The Stella Artois Filmmaker Lounge hosted the private after party for Novitiate. Guests including the cast’s fashionable Dianna Agron, wearing a stunning Prada dress and Miu Miu clutch.
The cast of Golden Exits (including Analeigh Tipton and Chloe Sevigny) participated in IndieWire in Conversation at Chase Sapphire on Main with Editor-in-Chief, Dana Harris.
John Legend and team didn’t have the full demo experience because the cyber attack at Sundance disrupted wifi, but they loved the way Google Homes looked and took it home!
And Amazon Studios celebrated Long Strange Trip, a documentary about The Grateful Dead. The trio of Dead & Company band mates brought Woody Harrelson up to sing the Elvis Presley hit “Heartbreak Hotel” and the Buddy Holly favorite “Not Fade Away.”
And those were some of the celebrity sightings from Sundance 2017. Stay tuned for my video interviews with the talent, coming soon!
