The collaborative musical effort among Bono, The Edge, Rihanna, and Jay-Z called “Stranded (Haiti Mon Amour)” is now available for download on i tunes. The track produced by Alicia Keys’ boyfriend, Swizz Beatz, was put together in a matter of hours after the devastation in Haiti. According to Swizz Beatz, “I reached out to my friends Bono and Jay-Z and asked for their help. Jay and Rihanna sent their vocals and that same night Bono and I went into the studio.” Pretty amazing. The song was performed for the first time during the George Clooney organized charity telethon “Hope for Haiti” last week. So far, the telethon has raised over $60 million for various organizations aimed at helping the people of Haiti rebuild their lives.
