Selenee debuted their Spring collection, The Garden of Forking Path during Los Angeles Fashion Week at Neue House Hollywood. Guests previewed the newest collection on the runway, savored cocktails, all while enjoying the hottest looks on the runway during Los Angeles Fashion Week 2025.
The Selenee brand believes the power of design brings balance and harmony to the world. They are inspired by nature’s pursuit of equilibrium and strive to create fashions that reflect this ideal. Their passion for originality and individuality is what sets them apart in the market. They are dedicated to reviving and restoring the humble and overlooked, elevating them to the divine. They understand that good design is not just about aesthetics, but about responsible and sustainable practices. That’s why they prioritize ethical sourcing and production methods to ensure that the products are not only beautiful, but also kind to the planet.
The design of the Garden of Forking Path was inspired by Jorge Luis Borges’ short story of the same name as well as the exploration of “Infinite Possibilities in a Maze.” The collection depicts a labyrinthine world that symbolizes the intertwining of time, space, and destiny. Through silhouette, materials, and details of the clothing, the theme of “forking paths” and “multiple possibilities” is showcased.
From classic plaid wool to flowing fabrics, SELENEE utilized a classic gray and black palette with the combination of sharp lines and flowing curves that capture the mysterious essence of a labyrinth. A collision of vintage and modern sensibilities is evident through plaid fabrics meeting three-dimensional tailoring, reflecting the theme of time intertwining. Corseted coats, exaggerated shoulders, suit dresses, checkered pants, wool blousons, and leather sweatshirts, capes and dresses defined this season’s collection. Pieces are available for purchase on the SELENEE website and range from $480.00 to $5,800.

Since its 2023 inception, the brand has been known for experimental silhouettes, and the Garden of Forking Path accelerates this with bold three-dimensional designs and exaggerated contours, exploring the infinite possibilities of material language. This is also expressed in intricate and stunning design details such as cuffs featuring a split design, mimicking the branches of the labyrinth as well as a layered skirt that embodies the imagery of multiple intersecting spaces.
The show integrated installation art and performance art into an interactive experience, allowing the audience to go beyond passive viewing and deeply connect with the brand’s message. SELENEE’s underlying philosophy of good design, being a result of both aesthetics and responsible and sustainable practices, challenges the status quo while embracing innovation.
