Yesterday, I posted the first part of my exclusive one-on-one interview with Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, Adrienne Maloof. We chatted about her latest shoe collection with Charles Jourdan, as well as her favorite beauty buys and her closet fashion staple. Today, we discuss the ladies from the RHOBH, what she likes to do in her free time, and what she values most-her family.
RCR: I know some of the girls from your show, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, have been wearing your shoes. Which of your cast mates have been the most supportive in your design endeavor?
AM: I think we all have similar tastes when it comes to shoes. Camille Grammer is always supportive, so is Kyle Richards. And Dana Wilkey has been great as well.
RCR: With all of your businesses-the Palms Casino Resort in Vegas, your shoe line, and the TV show-do you ever take a break and take time for yourself?
AM: Oh, you mean down time? (laughing) My husband (Beverly Hills plastic surgeon Dr. Paul Nassif) always wants to take a few days off and go somewhere sunny, and hang by the pool and read a book. I can do that for about ten minutes, and then I am bored to death! So I have to b doing something physical or active all of the time. My down time is with my three little boys watching Phineus and Ferb.
RCR: We don’t really see your kids on RHOBH. Is that a conscious decision that you made going into the show or was it made after the death of Russell Armstrong?
AM: They are too young. I have twins who are five and an eight year old. I just didn’t think it was a good idea at this point. If someday they come to me and say, “Mom, I want to be an actor.” Then I would support them. But at this point, no. I have always been protective of my children and before I even signed on to do the show, I said I don’t want to show my children. That is a deal breaker for me.
RCR: Right now in the off season, are the ladies from the show in a good place? There have been reports that things have been pretty heated.
AM: Let me tell you, there is still a lot of drama. So, you have to stay tuned!
RCR: With all of your business endeavors, is there one that you enjoy the most?
AM: I went in to do the reality show as a platform for my business, and I think that Bravo does an amazing job of cross promoting. And I saw it as a business and that is exactly what I am doing. I am cross promoting as using it as a business tool, as well as a way to spotlight all of my philanthropic work. And to say that I love one over the other is hard because they are all really my babies. And I am enjoying it. I just have to manage my time. I get a little less sleep, but that ok. I am used to working hard.
RCR: And how is the Palms Casino Resort doing? We haven’t heard much about it this past season on the RHOBH.
AM: Each season, we are going to be doing something a little bit different with our story lines. Vegas is starting to come back. So it’s nice to see that transition of a little bit of movement in the casino. We are staring to see more of an upward swing with that.
RCR: Well, thank you so much for your time, Adrienne.
AM: Thank you! And I love your name-Roxy! It’s so cute!
RCR: Thank you!

Adrienne: You really do have it all – you are a lucky girl. And like I said on another one of your sites, the best part of you is your COMMON SENSE and you are not afraid of using it.
If you are ever thinking about buying real estate in Orange County, let me know…And if not, it ok – I still really admire you!!!

I totally agree viviW. I loved her the first season & then she went off the tracks on the second. I put it down to the bad business decisions that are costing her the casino & basketball team. The family should never have left New Mexico. They were the big fish in the small pond here.
It has long been obvious that Adrienne went on RHOBH to promote her casino and basketball team and now her shoe line. I was a huge fan of hers in season 1 but she totally lost me in season 2. Going after Lisa for not having the bridal shower at Adrienne’s hotel, when Adrienne never offered to host it, was incredibly silly. Allowing her personal chef to attack Lisa was bad taste, as was saying Lisa sold stories to some online gossip site, particularly in light of the fact it was, or so she says, based on a rumor she heard. In the outtakes she accused Lisa of being a pot stirrer when she herself was talking behind everyone’s back. If she wants to promote her businesses so be it but she has loss of a lot fans by being a bit*ch in season 2.
You always get the best interviews Roxy! So informative!
Adrienne totally inspires me. Love her!
