Last night at the Heal the Bay 25th Anniversary “A Night Under the Stars” beach party at the Jonathan Club in Santa Monica, I chatted with Julia-Louis Dreyfus about her show The New Adventures of Old Christine, previously housed on CBS and not renewed for another season, and how it might have a life over at ABC. While she remained vague about the current status of the possible move, saying “fingers definitely crossed…..we are all in talks,” one can only imagine that she would like to keep her Emmy nominated show going. She also won an Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series for the show.

Also at the event was Amy Smart who has been volunteering with Heal the Bay since high school, former Nip/Tuck actress Donna Mills, comedian Hal Sparks who gave me a taste of his stand-up routine, one of the stars of The Cove and associate producer Charles Hambleton who mentioned to me that he and and his team have more of Hollywood to conquer, and Chad Lowe who was so infuriated by the BP Oil Spill in the Gulf that he said the people of America “should literally be out in the streets. We should be that outraged.”

My chat with Julia Louis-Dreyfus:
