I LOVE red lipstick. There is no other color that makes me feel more like a sexy, empowered woman than a bold red. And MAC, in partnership with Disney’s Maleficent, has created a gorgeous shade of crimson lipstick with the release of the film, called MAC True Love’s Kiss Lipstick.
Sure, it doesn’t hurt to have lips like the star, Angelina Jolie. But I am a firm believer that anyone with any size lips can wear red, it is just a matter of matching it to the right skin tone. And what is great about this MAC shade is that is clean and bright, like a classic red. And I was thrilled to see it used on real people (OK, a model, but still!) at the Maleficent screening by celebrity makeup artist, John Stapleton. He demonstrated how one can achieve Jolie-esque lips at home using the product. It also has a soft shimmer, which is really pretty. Definitely perfect for summer!

And the event, hosted by MAC, was lovely, as we were treated to Maleficent-themed bites and cocktails, before viewing the movie in 3D at the IMAX offices in Santa Monica. Definitely the best way to watch this flick! And I highly recommend seeing it. Will you?
