With a bold and bright color palate, Christian Siriano reinvented the new getaway wardrobe inspired by Vintage photos from the late 60s and 70s, in particular a photo of Jackie Onassis’ vacations in Capri from 1969 to 1973. Siriano captured the feminine grace and elegance of a woman’s silhouette through simplicity and structure.
The collection embraced effortless chic and elegant silhouettes made from soft cotton, woven raffia, textured lace, and sheer organza overlays that transition smoothly from day to night. Turquoise, citrus orange, white, and black ensembles accompanied with structured bags and occasional oversized hats combined to achieve a striking image of a cool, modern, well-traveled, seaside woman.
In addition to a fabulous collection, Siriano incorporated several plus sizes models within his show which sparked a positive response from the audience, as well as, displayed his acceptance of the new and evolving outlook on models within the fashion industry.
In order to combine vintage 60s and 70s with modern class, hair stylist, Anthony Cole, created sleek hair with vintage finger waved ends. Makeup was subdued and natural with a healthy seaside glow.
Among Sirianos circle of celebrity supporters, Coco Rocha, Christina Hendricks, Ashley Graham, Pamala Anderson, Jamie Alexander, Leigh Lezark, and Kelly Osbourne were a few that attended.
