It’s hard to believe that it is coming upon 12 year anniversary of the tragic death of Princess Diana in Paris with companion Dodi Al-Fayed. I will never where I was when I heard the news-at a sushi restaurant in Los Angeles at a friend’s birthday with all of my bff’s. Another patron leaned over and showed my his pager (it was the 90’s!) which showed the shocking news and he said, “Can you believe this?” Such a poignant moment in time. In honor of the late Princess Di and my visit to Kensington Palace earlier this week, the “Look of the Week” goes to her beautiful baby blue lace and chiffon strapless dress that she wore to a banquet in Yaounde, Republic of Cameroon in 1993. Designed by Catherine Walker as were many of her famous gowns, this design really exemplified the style of the Princess as she matured and came into her own, not afraid to be sexy and sophisticated as oppossed to her earlier more demure and girly fashion choices. She will always be remembered as beautiful, fashionable, and most importantly, a kind soul who always wanted to help those less fortunate than her.
