Beyonce, we all know, has some pipes. And real ones at that! She opened her Super Bowl press conference today with an beautiful version of “The Star Spangled Banner” in effect, proving that she is a jedi master of singing.

And when asked by a reporter about her Presidential Inauguration lip-synching moment, she replied,”I am a perfectionist.” She continued,”“Due to the weather, due to the delay, due to no proper sound check, I did not feel comfortable taking the risk… I decided to sing along with my pre-recorded track, which is very common in the music industry. I’m very proud of my performance.”
And if you are wondering about the authenticity of her upcoming Super Bowl Halftime Show, she maintained that she will be “absolutely singing live.” So there. Are you excited to see Bey work those pipes come Sunday?
