The always stylish Victoria Beckham stepped out on Saturday in support of Rob Dyrdek’s SK8 4 Life benefiting the Variety Boys & Girl’s Club of the LA Harbor at Rob’s Fantasy Factory in Boyle Heights. And as we know, she always puts her most fashionable foot forward-literally in black and tan Christian Louboutin stilettos, a hunter green sleeveless cutout top, and light gray ankle length jeans-even if at a skate park. She arrived with her seemingly new bff Ken Paves, along with her 3 sons Brooklyn, Romeo, and Cruz whom she watched as they practiced their skating skills. And they were good!
Also on hand was fellow Spice Girl Mel B who was anticipating the June 7th premiere of her show, Dance Your Ass Off, on Oxygen, Ali Landry who will be showing her Belle Parish children’s clothing line at STYLE360 in New York in September, and LA Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, a Boyle Heights native, who mingled with the Beckham bunch, told me about the last time he was on a skateboard (and it sounds painful!) The Mayor definitely enjoyed his time at the Fantasy Factory-he zip lined and jumped in the foam pit!
I also chatted with Dyrdek who revealed to me that he will be launching his “million dollar” street league skateboarding tour this summer-stopping in Vegas, Phoenix, and LA-with “the greatest skateboarding in the world” and Pharell who was there to support his boy and reinforce the importance of helping those in need. The day’s event was capped off with an awesome performance by Travis Barker who paid homage to the late DJ AM by using AM’s trademark initials on his DJ gear. Guests also enjoyed Carl’s Jr., Wahoo’s, a silent auction, and intense skateboarding demos by Mikey Mo, T Pudz, and Malto, who broke his foot doing some crazy jumps!
