Oscars week is full of fun parties, flowing champagne and late nights in Hollywood. And I was invited to cover the red carpet at the Cadillac pre-Oscars party at Chateau Marmont this week. It was the perfect night to bust out the lace romper!

FYI, I have had a baby whom I absolutely adore and could never imagine my life without. But I have gone through many days since giving birth of body-shaming myself and not being happy with what I see in the mirror. I am now heavier, have a thicker waist and more cellulite on my legs than before, and my body will probably never look the same as it did before I became pregnant. But I really want to stop putting myself down based on how I think I look.
I am sure there will be days I when I will fall back into judging myself based on my appearance, but I am really going to try not to, not only for me. But because I don’t want my daughter to think having a negative body image is the norm, or that she is any less than the most amazing, beautiful, intelligent, funny and sensitive little being that she is. She deserves more. And so I am not going to let my perfectly imperfect body stop me from wearing a lace romper if I want.
