GET THE LOOK: NAPOLEON PERDIS SHARES HOW TO GET THE PRETTY PREPPY LOOK

I really love the whole bold matte lip, clean flushed skin and natural eye look that is happening right now for Spring 2013. So I had to consult with celebrity makeup artist Napoleon Perdis (to whom Miranda Kerr entrusts her priceless face) about how to achieve this pretty look at home using his amazing products. And it is easier than you think!

Base:
Great skin is a must! The foundation of the Pretty Preppy look is healthy, glowing complexion.  A fresh, sheer foundation or a tinted moisturizer work wonders for faking complexion perfection. Any flaws can be covered with a little concealer.

Eyes:
Eye makeup should be kept minimal: less is always more! Try a clean, crisp swipe of liquid liner (no smudges!) and some lengthening mascara to accentuate the eyes, but without being noticeable.

Cheeks:
Blush should be lightly applied and look fresh and natural. Pretty Preppy is not about being heavily contoured or overly luminous.

Lips:
Best kept to a matte finish, lips can either be a low maintenance, easy-to-wear soft pink, or they can make more of a statement in a deeper shade of pink or red. A neutral makeup look works with every lip basically. Remember; when wearing a more bold shade, touch up frequently. Sloppy is never preppy!
