The Tommy Hilfiger x Gigi Hadid fashion show, aka Tommyland, took over the Venice boardwalk and was very Californian, and very star-studded. Fresh off her amazing Super Bowl performance, Lady Gaga celebrated Hilfiger and his cat walking Tommy’s Girls who included both Hadid sisters, Hailey Baldwin, Joan Smalls, Stella Maxwell, and Sara Sampaio.
Gaga was dressed in a beaded top and shorts with eye makeup to die for, and sat a few feet away from Sofia Richie. Other celebrities in the crowd included Tobey Maguire, Yolanda Foster, David Foster, Kristen Stewart, Kaia Gerber, and Jerry Hall.
The clothes were Americana, in true Tommy style, with a 1970’s twist. Lots of red, white, and blue, and denim too. But there were also mixed floral prints in the form of flowy dresses and button-down shirts.
Color blocking was a big trend, as was leather and patchwork. And lets not forget bold stripes on pieces such as wide-leg pants, shorts, and jackets.
After the show was over, Fergie rocked the audience with hits like “Glamourous,” “Big Girls Don’t Cry,” and The Black Eyed Peas’ “I Gotta Feeling.” Guests were pulling out their smartphones to video her gyrating on the stage and singing at the top of her lungs. Then it was time to hit up Tommyland, the designer’s vision of a fair which included food trucks, a silk screening station, pop-up shops, and rides.
It was one of the best fashion shows I have ever attended. And you can see more of my video coverage on the Red Carpet Roxy Facebook page. What do you think of Tommy’s new collection? You can shop it here. Comment below!
