Glamorous, timeless and sophisticated, Dita Von Teese epitomizes old school Hollywood glam and what it means to be a style icon. This week the Red Carpet Roxy team caught up with the burlesque dancer and former Viva Glam girl at the launch of her new book Your Beauty Mark: The Ultimate Guide to Eccentric Glamour at the MAC Cosmetics store in Beverly Hills, CA.
Von Teese shut it down wearing a stunning, fitted floral-print Dolce & Gabanna dress hugging her curves in all the right places. The evening full of champagne, hors-d’oeuvres and ultimate class was also the launch of the 43-year old star’s vivid red Von Teese lipstick- a must have in any woman’s make up bag!
Dita dominated the room as she mingled with guests discussing her love for all things fashion and what it means to find your own sense of personal style.
Her new book aims to empower women (and a few men out there!) to not be confined by society’s beauty standards and to embrace who you truly are, however different or unconventional that may be. She hopes to encourage people to be fearless, strong and comfortable in their own skin. And yep, that is why we love our Dita!
