The Chanel ready-to-wear Spring 2016 fashion show landed in Paris, literally. The theme was Chanel Airlines, and was constructed at the Grand Palais complete with a terminal, check-in counters and a large reader board. “I wanted to make the perfect airport where boarding is a pleasure.” said Chanel creative director, Karl Lagerfeld. Quite the concept, and this is probably the closest we will ever get to that dream. Thanks, Karl.
Chanel hard suitcases, leisure suits, platforms and sparkle were items that populated the runway. Think upscale airport travel with a 1970’s feel, and lots of kitsch.
Guests included mother/daughter style duo Vanessa Paradis + Lily-Rose Depp, Cara Delevingne, Janelle Monae and Kris Jenner who was there to support her daughter, Kendall Jenner, who walked in the show. What do you think of the collection? Comment below!
