Coming soon to MAC Cosmetics Stores near you… Prabal Gurung‘s first ever cosmetics line! Making its debut on November 26th, the line features an array of 14 different products including lipstick, eye shadow, and a bronzing powder.
Although I’m sure the makeup itself will be exceptional, let’s take a second to talk about the packaging- it’s gorgeous. Inspired by 1920’s jeweled minaudieres, eluding style and elegance, the pieces make a statement for themselves.
“I think back to the beauty products on my mother’s vanity that I saw growing up and how much they resonated with me,” Gurung revealed. “It’s pretty incredible to be in a position to now be developing my own.”
While in many cases makeup is used to create one’s idea of beauty, Gurung’s line is intended to compliment and enhance natural beauty. “I’ve always been interested in intelligent, beautiful women who are aware of the space they occupy and the relationship they have with fashion and the world, not just herself,” the designer said.
Lavish and luxurious, the Prabal Gurung cosmetics line does not come cheap. With products ranging from $20-$70, will you be trying it out for the upcoming holiday season?
