It’s next to impossible to have more than one Hollywood starlet in the room without some drama, right? Apparently that was the case this past weekend when Anne Hathaway reportedly threw a fit when she found out her Les Miserables co-star, Amanda Seyfried, was planning on wearing a dress very similar to hers. How did this all go down? At an Oscars dress rehearsal at the Dolby on Saturday, Anne inquired about Amanda’s dress for the following night, and Amanda showed the soon-to-be-Oscar winner an iPhone photo of her Alexander McQueen gown. And then all hell broke loose!

According to an US Weekly source, “Anne was like ‘WTF?! She started throwing a fit!” But she “never told Amanda she had to change the dress.” Still, Seyfried, 27, was bothered by Hathaway’s tirade. “Amanda didn’t want to deal with it and left” the rehearsal, the source claims.But the drama didn’t end there — spilling into Oscars Sunday, as Hathaway fretted over the switch-up with her glam squad at home. A second insider said,”Anne made the fashion, make up, hair, and jewelry teams wait at her home for hours as she decided what to do about the dress debacle.”
Hathaway’s publicist released a statement about the drama earlier this week, which said, “It came to my attention late Saturday night that there would be a dress worn to the Oscars that is remarkably similar to the Valentino I had intended to wear, and so I decided it was best for all involved to change my plans. Though I love the dress I did wear, it was a difficult last-minute decision as I had so looked forward to wearing Valentino in honor of the deep and meaningful relationship I have enjoyed with the house and with Valentino himself. I deeply regret any disappointment caused.”
