STYLECAUSE: APOLIS PARTNERS WITH THE PULITZER CENTER FOR BURIED IN DANDORA EXHIBIT

I love when fashion, art and humanitarian work collide. And that is just what happened on Friday night in LA.

Socially motivated lifestyle brand Apolis partnered with the Pulitzer Center, and famed photojournalist Micah Albert to host Albert’s “Buried in Dandora: Waste and Livelihood” photo exhibit at the Apolis: Common Gallery space in downtown Los Angeles.

Albert, who has travelled to over 60 countries, 25 refugee camps, six conflict zones and four rebel-controlled territories, was on hand to showcase his photography exhibit which documents the plight of an estimated one million people who live and work on the edges of Nairobi, Kenya’s Dandora Municipal Dumpsite. The evening’s festivities included keynotes with Micah Albert, Natalie Applewhite of the Pulitzer Center and Shea and Raan Parton, Founders of the Apolis menswear line. The ‘Buried in Dandora’ exhibit which will be on display at the Apolis: Common Gallery through the month of December.
