I have got to share with you my latest skincare discovery, the “5 to Survive” travel picks. They are so going with me to New York Fashion Week!
These travel beauty essentials were curated by Alana Mitchell, a licensed esthetician with almost two decades in the biz. She also has this awesome online store called Skincare by Alana where you can find so many of your fave products. So for her 5 tops, she has chosen three products (Acidopholus Pro-Biotic, Brazilian Propolis Mist, e-treme SPF 45) from one of my most beloved lines-Epicurean. Just saying the name brings a smile to my face! Said Alana about these items,” It’s my favorite moisturizer, its light weight, perfect for humid or warm climates and contains Acidophilus Probiotic, beneficial to maintaining healthy skin, a ‘friendly bacteria.'” She continued, “Propolis extract (in the mist) is a natural property from bees! Propolis is anti-fungal, anti-viral and anti-bacterial. It will decrease breakouts and problematic skin. And the x-treme gives you a slight glow when you initially apply it and absorbs nicely into the skin.” This line rocks because it is all-natural, and I never break out when I use it. And the moisturizer is to die for!
Rounding out Alana’s travel must-haves are Dermaquest C-lipolic cleanser and the Le Bella Donna co-exist gel. BTW, the cleanser is amazing! It left my skin totally refreshed, and because it is a foaming cleanser, my face didn’t feel like it had leftover residue like I often experience with heavy cream cleansers. And Alana recommends that you wash your face twice at night for truly clean skin. But don’t forget your moisturizer afterwards! Post-cleansing, I applied the co-exist gel on my eyes, and again at night. I have to say, the skin around my eyes looked and felt more hydrated, thanks to hylaronic acid, which helps bind water to skin. Who doesn’t love that after being dehydrated from one too many summer cocktails or a three hour plane ride? Click here to shop the “5 to Survive” travel collection.
