Talk about an amazing b day week! I have had one hell of a celebration, and last night was the topper as I attended the iHEART Radio concert featuring one of my absolute faves-Coldplay!
Not surprising, the show was amazing and the guys totally rocked the house playing hits like “Yellow,” “Fix You,” “The Scientist,” and “Paradise.” But what really made this night so special was the fact that this was an extremely small and intimate performance (less than 1500 people) at Club Nokia.
Ryan Seacrest, who introduced the band at the beginning of the evening, referenced that this type of show rarely occurs, given the band’s popularity. They were absolutely feeding off of the crowd, and vice-versa. The energy in the room was palpable. One of the best concerts I have ever seen.
And the proceeds of the show benefit two youth organizations A Place Called Home and Youth Mentoring Connection. Great music for a great cause-is there anything better? And lead singer Chris Martin was super cute, giving a shout out to his wifey, Gwyneth Paltrow, who watched the show and danced with friends in the balcony overlooking the stage. Oh, what a night!
