Happy Memorial Day! I salute all of the heroes fighting for the freedoms and liberties that we enjoy everyday in this wonderful country of ours. These amazing men and women selflessly put their lives on the line and make so many sacrifices for the rest of us. And it is nice to know that there are organizations dedicated to helping our vets when they return home from their service obligations.
Case in point, Vets Helping Heroes, a non-profit organization that raises funds to train assistance dogs for injured vets and active military personnel. And these dogs provide so much for our current and past service men and women, giving them independence, becoming members of the family and comforting those around them.
