Fashionista in training, Ryan Lochte, and others gathered at The GREY GOOSE Blue Door in NYC for the debut of Venus Williams’ EleVen line for Spring/Summer 2013. The collection featured adorable tennis clothes as well as off the court pieces, perfect for an active lifestyle. Think tennis whites, with tailored beige and white ensembles, and a muted multicolor watercolor print that Venus said was inspired by Monet’s Gardens at Giverny.
And the presentation itself was anything but mundane! It was a high-octane demonstration of athletic skill in the form of a sparring former middle weight boxing champion Michael Olajide and his co-founder Leila Fazel; Mitchell Kelly of So You Think You Can Dance; acclaimed former New York City Ballet Principal Albert Evans; and favorite local trainers from Soul Cycle and Tracy Anderson Method.
Guests included Vogue Editor-At-Large Andre Leon Talley, Miss USA Olivia Culpo, Marcus Jordan and model Elisabeth Kieselstein were all a part of the crowd that toasted the formally-trained fashion designer backstage after the presentation. Guests were treated to a specialty cocktail inspired by Venus called the GREY GOOSE MaVen. She even gets a vodka drink named after her. Now, I am jealous! Click here to shop EleVen by Venus Williams.
