The fabulously fashionable came together last night at the New York Public Library for the amFAR Inspiration Gala. Ricky Martin and Jean-Paul Gaultier were honored at the event and MAC Viva Glam spokeswoman Cyndi Lauper performed while songstress Kylie Minogue hosted the star studded soiree.

Designed as a way of celebrating men’s style, the gala raises money for the Foundation’s research programs through a fashion show in which Barneys Creative Director, Simon Doonan, auctioned off stylish items with the proceeds benefiting amFAR. It is a new event series for amFAR and it will also hit Los Angeles in October 2010 and Paris on June 25th, 2010. And guess what the 2010 design inspiration for the fashion show is? Black tie/Black leather-hot! Here is the list of designers participating in the runway show which was DJed by Estelle:
