TERESA GIUDICE’S JAIL LIFESTYLE

While everyone is still on the New Year’s Resolution high of trying to change their lives for the better, Teresa Giudice might not be so fond of the changes in her life in 2015.

Teresa Giudice

The 42-year-old Real Housewives of New Jersey star was sentenced to 15 months in prison in October after she pleaded guilty to bankruptcy fraud and conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud last March. Though her husband, Joe Giudice, 44, will stay home with their four daughters throughout her sentence, he’ll serve his own 41-month sentence and concurrent 12 months once she is released, and will likely be deported once his sentence is over, as he is not a US citizen. Teresa was seen eating her last meal as a free woman this morning around 3 am at Elmer’s Diner in Danbury, where she ate her hot egg sandwich before turning herself in.

Piper Orange is the New Black

She’ll be spending her next 15 months at the Federal Correctional Institution in Danbury, Connecticut—the same minimum security prison that served as the inspiration for Orange is the New Black. While she may not exactly be living the same life of luxury that she’s used to, the commissary list does include hummus and macaroons, deli meat, Louisiana hot sauce, and dove bars. She can spend up to $320 per week, and her family can supplement her account as much as they want. Maybe money can’t buy happiness, but at least she’ll be able to buy a couple comfort items, like an MP3 player, Skullcandy earbuds, make-up, acne cream, Charmin, and perfume fragrances. In the meantime, the family’s Montville Township mansion is on the market for $3.9 million. Let’s just hope she has an easier time adjusting than Piper did.
