As many of you know, flamboyant and newly acquired Buffalo Bills wide receiver Terrell Owens (or T.O. for short) has propelled himself into the realm of reality television with his new show, “The T.O. Show,” airing on VH1. Promising to show the soft, sensitive side of the famous ex-Dallas Cowboys player, the show picks up as T.O. is released from the Cowboys and decides to move to Los Angeles where he will navigate through the seas of love with the help of his 2 BFF’s/publicists (isn’t that a coincidence?), Mo and Kita.

The production held its premiere party last night at the Skybar in West Hollywood-a party filled with sports stars, celebrities, and their adoring fans. This wasn’t the first time I have had the chance to chat with Terrell on the Red Carpet, and each time I am always surprised at how soft spoken and shy he is when he isn’t his on the field persona, T. O. He assured me that this show wasn’t to “revamp my image but rather to show who I really am” and that he isn’t who the media labels him as “a moron, jerk, a cancer-not that guy.” He did mention that he was ready to settle down and revealed “I need that somebody to snuggle and cuddle up with.” What will he miss the most about Dallas? His teammates, but he is focused on the future and his new home in Buffalo.

The other 2 stars of “The T. O. Show,” Kita and Mo were adamant about the authenticity of the show (hence their idea of T. O.’s revealing promo shot alluding to the “naked truth” and as they like to call him “the human anatomy”), with Kita stating, “This reality show is 100% reality. A lot of drama, games, fun, tears, and pain. Pure, positive energy.” And what is the difference between Terrell and T. O. according to the ladies? Mo relayed, “Terrell is who you can fall in love with. T. O. is the guy people love to hate.” The ladies were crystal clear on the type of woman they would like to see their BFF with, “low maintenance, looks high maintenance, but is authentic” described by Kita and must have a 401 K, so if your job is merely being beautiful, you need not apply because you will never make it through the likes of these watchdogs.

Various familiar faces from the worlds of sports and entertainment came out to support their friend and his new reality show endeavor including Christopher Mintz-Plasse aka McLovin from “Superbad,” funnyman and one of the stars of “Zack and Miri Make a Porno” Craig Robinson, “I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here” host Damien Fahey, Assistant Coach of the 9 time NBA Champion Los Angeles Lakers Jim Cleamons who wants championship #10 and thinks Lamar Odom would be great in his own reality show, Playboy Playmate Alison Waite, former Buffalo Bill Marcellus Wylie letting me know that the way people stay warm in Terrell’s new northern hometown is “by eating chicken wings and making babies,” New York Giant Ramses Barden, singer Hayley Marie Norman, nose tackle for the Minnesota Vikings Frederick Evans, all female Def Jam Group Electrik Red who insisted all 4 of them could take on T. O., and Miss California Tami Farrell who hasn’t spoken with her dethroned predecessor. And what if T. O. ‘s reality career doesn’t pan out? Not to worry, hard rocker Nina Bergman of Dead Rose Beauty has a fall back plan for the football star as “a back up dancer in my band-he could take his shirt off and do his thing.” Hmmmm, not a bad idea Nina!

“The T. O. Show” premieres on VH1 on Monday, July 20th at 10 PM ET/PT.
