SPRING 2011 STYLE360 RUNWAY REPORT DAY 3

Tuesday-the final day of STYLE360-brought 3 amazing shows to the runway. The first one was Caravan, presented by Starbucks Frappuccino, featuring bobi, Boy Meets Girl, and Caravan. The show opened with a live performance by Neon Trees who performed their hit “Animal.” Boy Meets Girl, up first, is more of an edgy label-deconstructed sportswear with sheer paneling in unexpected places, gray and hunter green, very much a rock n’ roll feel.

bobi is truly a California girl brand-lots of easy knits, great for layering, not too complicated. I wouldn’t call this high fashion, but definitely wearable nonetheless. Lots of draping.

And Caravan ended the show with pretty, vintage inspired dresses from the 1940’s and 1950’s. But with a twist-a totally open back.

And the back of a different color, but same cut dress:

Real Housewives of NYC star Ramona Singer broke away from the drama for a hot second and provided the jewelry for Caravan from her HSN Collection, which looked great with the dresses and on her:

Singer Deborah Cox attended the Caravan show, but was on vocal rest as prescribed by her doc. However, we still did an on camera interview, which was quite funny considering she couldn’t speak. There was a lot of sign language translation on my part. Funny, and she did sign that she loved the clothes and was having a great time!:

Next was Sachika presented by Alisa Maria. The show opened with a beautiful Vietnamese dance routine, true to the heritage of the designers-identical twins To-Tam and To-Nya Sachika. After that, their show dedicated to the “Modern Woman.” The colors were bright-indigo, purple, teal- and they showed quite a few rompers-both in purple and black. I would wear this piece:

Sheer paneling was also big at Sachika, and the audience was roused when Coco, Ice-T’s wife, sauntered down the runway in a dress designed especially for her assets:

Coco mentioned to me that she will be launching a line of jeans for curvaceous women, called Cocolicious. Ice-T, who was in the audience to watch his wife grace the catwalk, was proud of his well endowed lady. He even referred to himself as her “accessory.” True love!

Also in the show, were Angela & Vanessa Simmons:

And Real Housewives Alex McCord (whose husband Simon revealed to me that next seasons RHONYC would be “a lot less exciting.” Does that mean they are off the show? Hmmm) and Caroline Manzo, who was sporting a rat tail. Thoughts?:

Last up was the bebe show which brought out Denise Richards who spent the better part of her Fashion Week at STYLE360, Niche Media Founder Jason Binn, Ali Landry, Miami Heat player Chris Bosh, and Lakers forward Ron Artest. All enjoyed bebe’s take on Spring 2011 which included subdued, neutral colors and nudes; lace, high waisted pants & skirts, floral & animals prints, shorts & rompers, over-sized sunglasses, fringe, and Bridget Bardot full  hair. Chairman and Founder Manny Mashouf was inspired by St. Tropez and the South of France for this collection, and it showed.

And the bebe after party at The Griffin was packed! Guests sipped Stoli vodka cocktails and danced all night. Hosted by The City’s Louise Roe, several of the brand’s devotees like Glee’s Charlotte Ross, STYLE360 designers Malan Breton & Ali Landry, The Hills Stephanie Pratt, supermodel Carol Alt, singer Kat de Luna, RHONYC’s Ramona Singer, and Victoria’s Secret Angel Kylie Bisutti.
